What it is

A Lua script for Aseprite that generates clean, pixel-perfect isometric primitives directly on a new layer. Pick a shape, tune its size, position and colors, watch the live preview, and hit Confirm. It is meant as a fast starting point for isometric scenes, tilesets, mockups and sprites.

Primitives

• Box: rectangular cuboid. Set height (Z) to 0 to get a flat tile or plate.
• Bevel: a box with one vertical corner sliced off (a 5-sided prism). Choose which corner and how much is cut (0 to 100%).
• Slope: a ramp or triangular wedge, with 4 downhill directions.
• Stairs: a staircase with an adjustable number of steps and the same 4 directions.
• Pyramid: a 4-sided pyramid with the apex above the base center.
• Cylinder: an elliptical cylinder, on a vertical or horizontal (X/Y) axis, with adjustable side count. Set the length to 0 for a flat disc, or a radius to 0 for a flat rectangle.

Features

• Live preview: every slider updates the shape instantly on the canvas.
• Solid and wireframe: filled faces or just the outlines.
• Custom colors: separate stroke and fill colors (defaults to your foreground and background).
• Full control: independent X, Y and Z sizes, plus position offsets along all three isometric axes.
• Pixel-perfect output: crisp outlines and fills with no seams, gaps or stray pixels.
• Works off-canvas: shapes are rendered into a properly sized buffer, so fills stay correct even when the figure extends past the sprite bounds.
• Non-destructive: Confirm places the result on a new layer, leaving your artwork untouched.

Installation

1. Open Aseprite and go to File, Scripts, Open Scripts Folder.
2. Drop the .lua file into that folder.
3. Restart Aseprite, or use File, Scripts, Rescan Scripts.

The script then appears under File, Scripts.
